This position is a part of our Intercable Automotive Solutions business unit within Aptiv’s Signal and Power Solutions segment. This position will be located in Warren, OH.
The role
As a Technical Sales Coordinator at Aptiv in Warren, OH, you will play a crucial role in the intersection of technical expertise and sales strategies. Your responsibilities will include:
RFQ Processing:
- Efficiently process Requests for Quotation (RFQ) in accordance with internal processes
Technical Feasibility and Cost Evaluation:
- Coordinate all activities related to technical feasibility and cost evaluation, aligning them with customer requirements
Coordinate and Manage Internal Functions:
- Work closely with specialized internal functions and departments in North America and Europe, ensuring seamless alignment of technical aspects
Preparation of Internal Documents:
- Prepare specific internal documents required for the analysis and execution of Technical Sales activities
Definition of Processes and Solutions:
- Collaborate with internal departments to define processes, materials, and technological solutions that meet customer needs
Cost Calculation:
- Perform comprehensive cost calculations, including lifetime cycle costs, turnover calculation for production parts, tooling, prototypes, and engineering services
Competitive Proposal Development:
- Set up a comprehensive and competitive proposal for customers, taking into account technical aspects and cost considerations
Technical Alignment:
- Facilitate technical alignment with customers, internal departments, and suppliers to ensure a cohesive approach throughout the project lifecycle
Offer Submission:
- Prepare and submit technical and end-commercial offers, including Cost Breakdown Documents (CBDs), in collaboration with the Key Account Manager until nomination
Product Modification Management:
- Manage product modifications RFQs during the entire lifetime of the product, ensuring that technical and commercial considerations are addressed effectively
Interface with customers:
- Present pricing to customers and partner with sales during negotiations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Finance)
- 3-8 years of experience in Technical Sales or a related field
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical data to support sales strategies
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to travel to Europe & Mexico as required
