Your responsibilities will encompass (but are not limited to)
This position contributes to Starbucks success by elevating business processes to the next generation and leading the design and development of new capabilities across the Technology organization to drive efficiencies. To be successful, the technical product manager needs to have a data driven mindset and a passion for delighting users with simple, efficient and engaging experiences.
Your expertise and experience in business process re-engineering and system design will play a pivotal role in the delivering key solutions to ensure the ongoing success of the organization through business process optimization.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will...

  • Translates customer experience into technical requirements and product solutions.
  • Drive technical solutions for large features/technically complex features independently.
  • Create data flows, functional and technical specifications as needed.
  • Ensure development engineers have the needed information on endpoints, inputs and outputs
  • Perform validation of features against customer, business goals and acceptance criteria
  • Communicates effectively with technology teams independently
  • Drive optimization, process improvements and designs between customers and engineering
  • Monitors feature performance to find opportunities to drive continuous improvements
  • Develop appropriate training materials to support the needs of the organization and provide direct end-user process and systems training to ensure appropriate execution of processes and systems.
  • Builds effective relationships with key internal team members and customers across the broader technology organization

We'd love to hear from people with:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a relevant field
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytics and optimization tools to inform product planning and prioritization (4 years)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with design and engineering to deliver customer-facing features (4 years)
  • Hands-on experience in developing roadmaps, priorities, features, story outlines, writing user stories, refining product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced, changing environment with a variety of stakeholders (4 years)
  • 4+ years of industry experience in a technology environment with a record of successfully delivering complex products

  • Business process re-engineering, systems design, testing, and implementation
  • The ability to understand and conceptualize processes
  • Analytical thinking to determine the best approach for problem-solving
  • Detailed and results-oriented mindset, able to analyze data to justify product decisions and apply key learnings.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues and influence decision-making.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Consistently uses communication skills to influence outcomes.
  • Ability to influence others without authority to get things done in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of agile development practices, methodologies, and tools
