Mission
The mission of the receiving team is to deliver a superior service to all the departments to receive in all incoming goods and the distribution of these goods according to the applicable procedures.
The receiving Team Lead is the central person in supporting the team in order to achieve the goals of the receiving department.
Main responsibilities
- Safety:
- Lead by example for Safety behaviour by following all safety rules & regulations.
- On time reporting of risk observation / near miss / incidents
- Support supervisor on conducting safety talks.
- Encourage Operators to contribute to the safety kaizen board.
- Quality – line owner for the “First Time Right”
- Training of new operators on warehouse management system (Fast Track) & BPCS
- Support supervisor to assess and maintain skill matrix for operators.
- Perform receiving operation.
- Foster a positive team spirit by providing support whenever assistance is required.
- Verify that receiving is done as per the process defined to ensure on time and with quality reception.
- Report the non-conformance through App.
- Support 5’s initiatives to keep workplace neat, clean, and Safe.
- Ensure Operator discipline (break time, rules & regulations, rework etc)
- Delivery –owner for the on-time delivery
- Define manpower allocation at start of shift.
- Respect on time unloading and loading of the trucks/trailers for optimized utilization (efficiency, on-time delivery)
- Capable of seamlessly stepping in for any team member in case of absence.
- Coordinate for shortages / immediate needs of the lines with representative @ warehouse @ 2501)
- Co-ordinate with line feeders to optimize the timely movement of received materials to ensure efficient and prompt distribution, minimizing any unnecessary staging or delays.
- from assembly line to maintain flow of material to keep Receiving area clean
- Follow up the proper use of the UPS tracking system
- Coordinate with line feeder to ensure the on-time material availability.
- Deliver the material at right location with right scanning (e.g. FAI / Yard / Shed / Lineside)
- Ensure line consumables availability like Gloves, Loctite, Grease, sockets, tools.
- Cost
- Avoid scrap from operator (Safe handling of parts), contain re-work from operator.
- Ensure the team diligently logs and documents damaged freight, promptly reporting incidents to both the Transportation manager and direct supervisor.
- Participate in process improvement through suggestions / kaizens.
General responsibilities
- Respect & Contribute actively to the SHE procedures (Safety, Health, Environment)
- Promote ideas for continuous improvement & innovation
- Interact on-time, with transparency & commitment with colleagues & managers
- Maintain respectful and polite relationship with all contacts.
- Maintain ongoing communication with fellow Team Leads within the Logistics team for effective coordination and collaboration.

What we ask of you:
Experience / Educational requirements
- Associate degree in a technical field / relevant experience in logistic
- 2-3 year experience in logistic activities (line feeding / Receiving etc)
- Experience in using BPCS system / Warehouse Management system (Fast Track)
- Should have operating knowledge of systems & Basic Computer operation.
- Fluent in English
