Talent Pr Coordinator

The Initiative Group is seeking a Publicity Assistant/Coordinator to support a Partner/Co-Founder in our Talent Department located in our LA office. Candidate must have a passion for PR and prior entertainment assistant experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must be eager and willing to learn, ability to work independently and as a team player, and can work in a fast-paced environment. This is an entry-level position with room for growth.

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide administrative support to Partner and general support for the Talent Department
• Assist with the distribution of press materials, draft itineraries, update fact sheets, create and maintain status reports, track press breaks and help maintain master media list of press.
• Managing Partner and client calendars, organizing meetings, maintaining and updating client schedules
• Organize client accounts and documents daily
• Do research for publicists and create press lists
• Field media requests and liaise with clients as needed
• Learn to pitch and secure media opportunities across all platforms
• Servicing press clippings
• Creating and updating client press kits
• Take notes during meetings
• Research industry news and stay up to date with entertainment
• Assist with client coverage when necessary

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 1-2 years of talent/entertainment/PR related experience
• Must be located in LA
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
• Highly organized and extremely detail-oriented
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and Google Docs
• Passion for entertainment/pop culture
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Salary:

$22-$26/hr (DOE)

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of 3-4 days per week. Our office is located near The Beverly Center and The Grove
