Job Description
The Initiative Group is seeking a Publicity Assistant/Coordinator to support a Partner/Co-Founder in our Talent Department located in our LA office. Candidate must have a passion for PR and prior entertainment assistant experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must be eager and willing to learn, ability to work independently and as a team player, and can work in a fast-paced environment. This is an entry-level position with room for growth.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide administrative support to Partner and general support for the Talent Department
- Assist with the distribution of press materials, draft itineraries, update fact sheets, create and maintain status reports, track press breaks and help maintain master media list of press.
- Managing Partner and client calendars, organizing meetings, maintaining and updating client schedules
- Organize client accounts and documents daily
- Do research for publicists and create press lists
- Field media requests and liaise with clients as needed
- Learn to pitch and secure media opportunities across all platforms
- Servicing press clippings
- Creating and updating client press kits
- Take notes during meetings
- Research industry news and stay up to date with entertainment
- Assist with client coverage when necessary
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 1-2 years of talent/entertainment/PR related experience
- Must be located in LA
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Highly organized and extremely detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and Google Docs
- Passion for entertainment/pop culture
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Salary:
$22-$26/hr (DOE)
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of 3-4 days per week. Our office is located near The Beverly Center and The Grove
