Veterans Inc., the largest provider of services to veterans and their families throughout New England, is looking for a professional, highly motivated, goal oriented individual to fill the Talent Acquisition Specialist position and become a valued member of Veterans Inc. team!

Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the primary function of the Talent Acquisition Specialist role is full cycle recruitment with additional human resources activities assigned.

This individual would be based out of the 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605 location. All duties would be performed throughout the designated territory's surrounding cities and towns within the state.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:

  • Full cycle recruitment with duties including but not limited to: participating in manager intake meetings, updating/uploading job descriptions, reviewing resumes in the applicant software, scheduling and participating in phone screens and interviews, and participating in the selection process.
  • Assists with new hire onboarding by composing offer letters, processing requests for criminal background records checks, employment, degree and military service verification checks, reviewing and completing new hire and onboarding paperwork.
  • Point of contact for internship program by managing the intern application process and assisting with the selection of interns for the appropriate department; presents the Veterans Inc. internship program to area colleges.
  • Assist with being the point of contact for external outlets that assist with positions (Maturity Works, Operation Able, etc.).
  • Represents Veterans Inc. at career fairs and networking events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

    • Minimum of an associate degree in Human Resources or another related field; Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
    • Two or three years of experience in a Talent Acquisition or similar role
    • PHR or SHRM certification is highly preferred.
    • Experience working in a nonprofit setting is highly preferred.
    • Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
    • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check.
    • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
