Talent Acquisition Specialist/Nursing (Recruiter)

Must have Nurse Recruitment Experience!

M-F (Hybrid, must be avail to travel to Brockton/Foxboro, MA)

8:30am-4:30pm $50,000-$55,000

 

BAMSI is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization founded in Brockton, Massachusetts, with a vision of driving change and creating equal opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental and behavioral health challenges.  Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc. (BAMSI) was incorporated on March 21, 1975 as South Shore Multi-Services Inc., under Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as a not-for-profit human service organization. On July 9, 1975, it changed its name to Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc. It was formed for the development, coordination, and delivery of integrated human service programs, and according to its website, its mission is “to empower people and enrich their lives, through compassionate support and diverse services, one individual, one family a time.” BAMSI employees up to 2,000 people and operates adult, child, and family services, assisting approximately 30,000 individuals each year in Worcester, Middlesex, Norfolk, Bristol, and Plymouth Counties.

General Statement of Duties: Under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Specialist provides full lifecycle, high volume recruitment for designated area within BAMSI's services.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Prescreen job applicants using BAMSI’s online applicant tracking system and review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
  2. Monitor job postings and candidate pipelines to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  3. Recommend new creative sourcing avenues and practices.
  4. Conduct interviews and make recommendations for hire.
  5. Conduct onboarding orientation and other trainings
  6. Prepare, analyze and present recruitment and HR metrics and make recommendations for process improvements as needed.
  7. Assist in the placement of approved job ads as requested, obtain candidate reference information as needed, and instruct applicants in the use of the BAMSI Career site.
  8. Maintain contact with hiring managers in order to build positive relationships and encourage open communication and transparency surrounding the recruitment process.
  9. Provide guidance and support to hiring managers surrounding bargaining unit agreements, employment law, interviewing techniques and agency policies.
  10. Provide recruitment guidance to interns, volunteers and recruitment/HR staff as appropriate.
  11. Train agency staff on the use of recruitment and onboarding modules of the HRIS.
  12. Ensure a culturally competent recruitment function by developing community connections, attending diversity job fairs and expanding advertising that reflects the diversity of the workforce.
  13. Attend agency meetings and provide coverage for other HR employees as needed.
  14. Perform all duties in compliance with BAMSI policies and applicable laws.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience utilizing an online applicant tracking system is preferred.
  • Experience placing job advertisements on internet job boards and utilizing social media to attract qualified nursing candidates is required.
  • Previous experience working for a not-for profit and/or health and human services organization preferred. Experience working in an HR or recruitment role within a bargaining unit environment is also preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • 3-5 years full lifecycle nursing recruitment experience in a high volume environment required.
  • A demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Outlook, Excel and Word required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers
  • The demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage and resolve conflict in a tactful manner is required.
