Description (scope of work)
IBSS is seeking a Full Time System Administrator to be responsible for managing all server infrastructure. Current technology stack includes the following: Windows Servers, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware and operating systems and applications software.
• Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems, drives and equipment.
• Manage systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
• Implement security procedures and tools.
• Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
• Resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
• Ensure systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency, and maintaining systems configuration.
• Manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services.
• Install, maintain, and administer Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Virtual Machine (VM) infrastructure, HighAvailability Cluster, subversion and additional support as required.
• Support all aspects of the project life cycle through baseline configuration, change, service, incident and problem management.
• Support operational, failure/recovery and performance testing in the test, development and production environments.
• Support operations by implementing appropriate security remedies, patches, backup and recovery.
• Administer enterprise Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, Print, Workfolders and other Windows Server Roles.
• Support infrastructure monitoring using various tools including Nagios and Grafana or similar system monitoring tools (e.g., MRTG, Netflow Analyzer, and SNMP).
• Technical configuration and maintenance of the web server where the site will be hosted. This includes maintaining the server's operating system (typically Linux or Windows Server), the web server software (typically Apache on Linux or IIS on Windows), and any associated database software (MySQL, SQL Server) and scripting interpreters (PHP, Python, Ruby, ASP.NET) that may be required for operation of the website.
• Deploying site updates from the staging environment or source control system to the server.
• Develop, institute, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the areas of system administration and support.
• Develop and manage customer service performance requirements.
• Monitor the status and progress towards resolution of assigned Incidents.
• Monitor system resources, usage, and other metrics to be used for auditing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Monitor and audit all logs.
• Maintain and develop automation and tools developed in C#, Powershell, and PHP/HTML
• Knowledge of imaging practices using MDT/WDS or SCCM
• Familiarity with Windows 10, Windows 11 and Windows Server Operating Systems

Required Skills /Education/ Certifications & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of training or BS/BA degree in computer science or related fields plus equivalent related experience in PC and/or server operating systems, hardware and application software.
• Experience with preparation and control of recurring and modified electronic data processing production jobs, and/or or provide support to network users.
• Ability to support computer specialists, scientists, engineers, or other users by examining input data for application processing, or for digital conversion.
• Experience with setting up software and hardware; generating runs or compile procedures to process datasets; processing, controlling, and documenting incoming and outgoing data sets and/or hardware systems.
• Ability to participate in preparation, scheduling, and coordination required for processing activities; determine methods to produce desired product; analyze instructions/error messages to modify or correct data within system constraints.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish tasks.
• Agile Development Methodology experience or similar methodology.
• Ability to maintain and manage several tasks at once and prioritize those tasks
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented and organized with strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrated success working in a team environment that includes:
  • flexibility working with a team in an organization that is dispersed;
  • coordinating with the work of others;
