We're looking for a savvy System Administrator to support our Process Software Engineering group as we build state-of-the-art C#/Angular/SQL applications. We support a product-line of over 50 custom-built applications focused on facility operations, and our systems are used every day by hundreds of workers across the site. You will be joining a team of creative software engineers committed to collaborative problem solving and first-class product development in a safety-first operations environment. In your role, you will be overseeing web servers and SQL databases, interfacing with engineers, assisting with deployment pipelines, and guiding the maintenance and upgrades of our networked systems.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Monitor and facilitate upgrades and system maintenance on web and database servers.
Provide SQL database support to developers.
Perform web app deployments and pipeline configuration.
Ensure systems are compliant with configuration expectations.
Proactively identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
Create scripts and tools to assist with system auditing, analysis, and troubleshooting.
Communicate with Cybersecurity to ensure systems are secure.
Work in a team environment with collaborative design and peer reviews.
Develop and sustain productive relationships with colleagues and customers.
Required Qualifications
Grade 16:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline; with
Two (2) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in MS SQL, Server management, or network maintenance
Grade 17:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline; with
Five (5) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in MS SQL, Server management, or network maintenance
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Grade 18:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline; with
Seven (7) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in MS SQL, Server management, or network maintenance
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Desired Qualifications
Proven experience with server and network architecture
Familiarity with quality assurance standards and configuration management
Other skills and experience that would be particularly useful include:
- MS SQL Server DB management (permissions, passwords, backups, deployments, etc)
- IIS Server, SSRS, Visual Studio, NUGET
- .Net (Core, Standard, or Framework)
- Azure DevOps Pipeline development and troubleshooting
- SSL certificate administration

Grade 16:
Hiring Range Minimum: $86,138
Hiring Range Maximum: $108,513
Grade 17:
Hiring Range Minimum: $94,650
Hiring Range Maximum: $119,250
Grade 18:
Hiring Range Minimum: $104,175
Hiring Range Maximum: $131,425

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
