Here's what you'd do:
- Client is seeking a Network Control Specialist that will monitor, analyze and troubleshoot network problems within an operations center utilizing network management and monitoring tools.
- This position monitors the alarm conditions on the network to proactively identify and minimize disruption and impact to end users on the network.
- Perform root cause analysis to determine a plan of action for restoring customer's services
- Operate among a myriad of internal client teammates and external telecommunication partners to follow through with operational processes and improve restoration times
- Facilitate coordination with our User Community, the Field Services Group, and telecommunication partners for both Break/Fix actions, as well as Change Management activities
- Document Trouble Tickets and Change Requests of all related activities
Here's what you'll get:
Pay: $30 - $35 /Hr
Hours: 9/80 Hours Per Week
Length: Contract (12 months)

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years' experience with domain knowledge of L1 through L4 of the OSI Model.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with L1-3 protocols to include LAN/WAN/MAN, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IBGP, EBGP, IS-IS, and MPLS.
- Minimum 1 year experience with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Network Management System (NMS) applications used to monitor networked devices.
- Associates Degree
- Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Networking or Information Technology
- Familiarity with Incident, Change and Problem Management practices.
- Experience working with Long Term Evolution (LTE) and VPN technologies.
- Experience with call center phone systems and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with vendor engagement to resolve IT issues.
- Experince with call center phone systems
- Prior experience required in maintaining high service levels in a demanding customer support services environment.
- CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA and ITIL v3/4 certifications..
- Prior ISP experience (carrier experience; centurylink etc.)
- Working knowledge of Long Term Evolution (LTE), VPN, and DMVPN technologies
- Working with internal team members; need to have effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Troubleshooting with customers while on the phone - customer service background and aptitude
