The Surgical Coordinator is a critical team member of the surgical medical team who coordinates patient care and surgical scheduling for a practice devoted to gastroenterology. They are responsible for assisting with pre-operative assessment, surgery scheduling and reimbursement coordination. The right candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients, surgeons, surgical and non-surgical team members and office staff.
Responsibilities:
- Administer pre-surgery medication to patients.
- Communicate with physicians during surgery.
- Schedule and coordinate medical appointments for patients.
- Communicate with nurses to ensure patient comfort in recovery from surgery.
- Communicate with the physician's office to schedule surgery dates and times.
- Maintain necessary records for patient care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
