Average hours per week: Up to 9 hours a week

Job Purpose: To assist in the day-to-day operations of the Office of Academic Affairs

Skills Development and Learning Opportunities Available:

• Communication Skills: Personal contact with faculty/staff/students/visitors.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office / Google Suite
• Filing, Alphabetizing, and Organization

Essential Duties:

• Filing
• Photocopying
• Shredding
• Scanning documents
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Equipment Used:

• Copier
• Telephone
• Computer/VAX System
• Scanner

Specific Skills:

• Excellent oral communications skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Willingness to work with diverse populations.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and sign confidentiality agreement

Educational Requirements:

• Good academic, and social standing in the field. (minimum 2.5 GPA)

Experience Requirements:

• Familiarity with general office tasks
• Some customer service experience

Special Oral/Written Skills:

• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Ability to interact and maintain good rapport with the University community.
