Nationally we are recognized for providing some of the most exceptional patient care of any hospital across the country. # Job Overview: Participates in and contributes to the development and implementation of high quality, timely education for clinical staff. Identifies opportunities for education among the clinical staff at AVH, using evidence-based practice and guidelines. Assists department directors in developing and coordinating educational programs and staff development goals. Documents all essential education completion. Serves as a facilitator by helping each department identify learning needs and resources outside and within the facility. Acts as a consultant for employees and managers when educational issues arise. Participates in orientation and onboarding of new employees, both house-wide and departmental. Assists department directors to identify, research, develop and implement an initial and annual department specific education plan based on competency assessment, regulatory requirements and department goals/needs. Assists each department to conduct an initial and annual education needs assessment. Oversees yearly completion of mandatory competency requirements. Provides each department director with quarterly and year-end compliance reports generated through the applicable systems. Maintains staff development training equipment to industry standards. Facilitates scheduling of educational offerings and communicates schedule to all employees. Works with Human Resources to facilitate hospital orientation and on-boarding of new employees. Serves as a systems administrator and oversees daily operations and maintenance of all components of each system. Maintains documentation of required education in appropriate systems. Adds learning events as needed to produce an annual document of completed employee education. Acts as consultant for staff and leadership on issues requiring education. Provides educational resources and support as requested and/or needed. Participates in and contributes to the development and implementation of high quality, timely education for clinical staff. Rounds regularly in assigned departments. Records pertinent documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and hospital policy. Minimum Qualifications # Requirements Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date BLS certification At least 3 years of clinical experience in one of the following areas: Acute Care, ICU, Periop, ED At least 1 year of experience using EPIC Preferred Qualifications EPIC Super User training preferred 3 years of experience in staff development/clinical education activities preferred Experience using HealthStream preferred ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP Instructor preferred BSN/MSN preferred Bilingual in Spanish
