Position: Public Sector Business Development Specialist - Government Sales Representative

Location: Remote (Must reside in the Denver, CO area)

Compensation: Competitive Base Salary of $60,000-80,000 with Commission

In this pivotal role, you will be a key player within our Regional/Public Sector division, dedicated to promoting and selling commercial/specialty vehicles in a designated geographic territory.

Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for commercial vehicle sales within the assigned government territory.
  • Identify and target potential Public Sector customers, including businesses, contractors, and mid-sized fleet owners.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with the RVP of Public Sector Sales and the marketing team to implement promotional strategies and campaigns.
  • Conduct field-based product demonstrations, including on-site vehicle transport and walk-around demonstrations.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, dealers, and industry influencers.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers within the assigned government territory, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct regular meetings, product demonstrations, and training sessions with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services to existing customers.

Sales Performance and Reporting:

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets, consistently achieving quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Track sales activities, customer interactions, and progress using HubSpot CRM software and other designated tools.
  • Prepare accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for sales management.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in B2B territory sales, preferably within the commercial vehicle industry.
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and a desire to build a successful sales territory.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about commercial vehicles, industry market trends, and regulations.
  • Experience in selling to Public Sectors is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office suite, and other sales tools.
  • Proficient using MS Teams and Zoom for remote meetings, both internally and externally.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory for face-to-face sales calls.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
