Summary
Axcient is seeking a Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to join our People Operations team. The L&D Specialist will partner with department leaders across the organization to identify training needs in their teams and develop and deliver custom learning paths for positions across the company. The L&D Specialist will have the ability to understand the learning needs of employees and deliver training materials in an easy-to-understand way. A strong knowledge of learning systems and methods and the ability to understand our products and their uses will be important. This person will also conduct manager training, assist with new hire onboarding, and identify and implement programs to prepare our employees for leadership roles within the company.This position reports to the VP of People and is based in the Denver, CO area. This position is hybrid, requiring work from the Denver office as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current new hire onboarding process and assist with conducting new hire orientations and other regular employee training sessions.
- Partner with the product team to fully understand features and new releases in order to facilitate training for sales and support teams.
- Partner with the sales team to improve sales techniques and identify learning opportunities for sellers at all levels.
- Partner with Customer Support Managers to identify skills gaps and learning opportunities for front line support staff to improve customer experience (examples would include soft skills, communication and writing skills)
- Utilize Udemy to assign and track employee learning.
- Measure the impact of training over time.
- Partner with our HRBP to implement manager training, career pathing, and mentorship programs.
- Research and select the best courses, tools, and resources for global training needs.
- Work with stakeholders to create content using existing information from knowledge bases and other materials.
Who You Are
- Qualified applicants will have at least 2-3 years of experience in corporate training or Learning and Development, preferably in a tech environment, or will have demonstrated transferrable skills in an education environment.
- Ability to create and deliver engaging learning content in person, over Zoom, and through recorded classes and tutorials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication is required.
- Previous experience with Udemy or comparable learning software is preferred.
