Job Summary:
IDF is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for maintaining employee records, coordinating benefit administration processes and onboarding activities. HR Specialist must be able to provide a broad range of Human Resources services to support the company’s managers and employees.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Records Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment history, and benefits data.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Prepare HR-related documents, such as offer letters, contracts, and termination paperwork.
Employee Relations:
- Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
- Implement employee recognition programs.
- Acknowledge and celebrate employee achievements and milestones.
- Address employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Performance Management:
- Administer performance appraisal processes.
- Assist in the development of performance improvement plans and provide support to managers in performance-related matters.
- Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a professional and confidential manner.
- Investigate and resolve workplace issues in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Coordinate and execute the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring of qualified candidates.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
Benefits Administration:
- Handle day-to-day HR administrative tasks.
- Support employees with benefit inquiries and assist in benefits enrollment and changes.
- Collaborate with external providers for benefits administration.
Policy Adherence & Development:
- Update and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Review, update, and create HR policies that support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ensure that policies are communicated effectively and implemented consistently across the organization.
General:
- Carry out routine office activities such as office phone call intake, copying, mailing, proofreading, filing, special correspondence, etc.
- Work as “One Team” and provide backup support as needed to another area of the organization.
- Represent IDF in the community including building strong working relationships with community partners. All employees are responsible for customer and client inquiry routing (phone, emails, mail, deliveries, etc.).
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in HR administration or a similar role.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and state and federal employment / labor laws.
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs
- Recruitment and interview experience.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- Effective oral and written communication
- In office position, located in Loveland, CO 80537. Applicant must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work. (Required)
