Position Overview:
As a Staff Auditor, you will play a vital role in their audit engagements, working closely with senior team members to conduct audits of financial statements and internal controls for a variety of clients across different industries. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing audit procedures in accordance with applicable auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Document audit findings and recommendations in clear and concise working papers.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and assess risks, internal controls, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, address inquiries, and provide updates on audit progress.
- Participate in meetings and discussions with client management to discuss audit findings, observations, and recommendations.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, accounting standards, and audit methodologies to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Pursuing or completed CPA certification preferred or 150 credit hours obtained.
- 1-2 years of relevant audit experience in a public accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
