Job Description
As a Senior Auditor, you will complete audit and attest processes and supervise staff auditors at the direction of an audit manager. Using state-of-the-art audit software and subscriptions, you will perform audit processes designed to address audit risks and provide clients with the required audit and financial reports. This position is hybrid in that you will work in the office for audit planning; however, some work can be done remotely.
Responsibilities and Duties
Supervise audit associates facilitating field work by monitoring and reporting regarding productivity and adherence to work plan schedules on each assignment
Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise
Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Audit Manager
Identify performance improvement opportunities
Recognize and inform management of opportunities to increase the level and types of services to clients
Responsible for performing audit and review engagements efficiently and profitably
Demonstrate strong technical competency and project management skills
Assist with the overall completion of an audit and attest engagements by efficiently completing assigned audit areas (i.e. Inventory, Debt, Equity, Revenue, and Expenses)
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Client's business and related needs
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, and management letters in accordance with professional and firm standards
Complete audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings
Be familiar with current accounting principles and auditing techniques
Execute day-to-day activities of audit engagements for multiple clients
Become oriented with the firm's practices, policies, and culture
Understand and utilize audit methodology
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Practice leadership skills and possess a positive mental outlook
Analyze client financial information to substantiate audit results and findings
Maintains client audit files using firm software
Effectively responds to client questions by properly researching and resolving issues
Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients, agencies, and fellow team members to promote a quality service image
Some travel to client sites is required
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in the area of accounting or business with prerequisite hours required to sit for the CPA exam
Audit or related business experience required
Understanding of financial statements and of audit processes
Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
Well-organized with good time management skills
Works well in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving skills
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, QuickBooks, and QuickBooks Online. Knowledge of Advance Flow ideal.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Highly motivated, passionate, great work ethic and driven to succeed – no lose attitude
Pass a CJIS background check
Ability to work remotely and at client locations
