This position is for 2pm to 11pm some and 2pm to 7am. Requires working weekends. Requires working holidays.
- Audit, balance, post and report on the Front Desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, over/short figures, deposits, etc., to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Count cash drawer at beginning and end of each shift. Prepare shift deposit accurately, following standard procedures.
- Handle complaints efficiently and courteously. Listen carefully to the guest’s problem. If possible, take immediate personal responsibility to correct the problem. If you cannot correct the problem with available resources, notify your supervisor or the General Manager immediately.
- Answer telephone efficiently and pleasantly within three rings and with correct phrasing. Determine nature of call and transfer to proper extension.
- Coordinate with Maintenance on any guest reported or observed problems.
- Ensure Front Desk operations are carried out within the systems and brand specific standards.
- Working knowledge of all hotel systems including PBX phone system, key system, PMS reservation systems, and brand specific training.

- Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets.
- Must perform any other required duties as requested by Supervisor to aid in better operation of the hotel, and service to the guests.
- Maintains compliance to all front office standard operation procedures: monitors key control, verifies room status information, updates group information, ensures follow-through of all VIP and Tour VIP requests.
- Does not participate in personal conversations, either in person or on telephone or cell phone.
- Assist guest with luggage as needed.
- Does not eat, drink, or smoke in sight of a guest.
- Transmit and receive messages using equipment such as telephone, fax, or computer.
- Verify customers' credit, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation as stated in the SOP. Account for all cash and make deposits in accordance with hotel and company policies.
- Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
