Job Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
- Process and code incoming invoices in internal systems, confirm appropriate approvals and alignment to budget, review receipts and records to reconcile discrepancies
- Vendor set up and handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email
- Handles monthly corporate card reconciliation and payment process
- Run 1099’s
- Prepare a high volume of deposits, post cash receipts and ensure proper invoice application.
- Generate and send out invoices with appropriate back-up documentation
- Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
- Investigate and resolve customer queries via phone or email, as appropriate
- Research and solve payment discrepancies, make adjustments to customer accounts as needed, assist in monthly account reconciliations and maintain the AR Aging
- Work as a team player to build relationships with customers, vendors, as well as internal managers and external collections company
- Process multi-state payroll via Namely for both salaried and hourly employees on a semi-monthly basis
- Responsible for setting up new state tax withholding and SUI accounts as required and maintaining rates and records within existing system
- Calculate and prepare manual paychecks as needed
- Reconcile all payroll and benefits related accounts, record all payroll journal entries and update JE mapping as necessary
- Review and reconcile state sales tax accounts and transactions
- Ad-hoc department financial reporting and analysis
- Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department; including audit prep and month end close
- Manages Fixed Asset schedule and appropriate journal entries
- Support HR function as needed, including assisting with 1095’s, workers comp audit, benefits data entry and review, etc.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting preferred
- Experience in QuickBooks (on-line version) required
- Knowledge of payroll systems and processing preferred
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience, in some combination of AR/AP/payroll, including at least 3+ years general accounting experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting and knowledge of GAAP
- Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented and able to follow a task through to completion
- Ability to multi-task
- Open to change and willing to learn new skills
- Ability to follow up on pending issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Must have proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PP)
- Experience in a start up environment a plus
- Experience with SalesForce, SaaSOptics, Avalara a plus
- Experience with Namely a plus
- Talking/Hearing Over Phone & In Person 50%

The base salary range represents the expected pay for this position. Final compensation and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Our team’s core hours are 10am to 3pm with flexibility . Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Must be willing to work PST hours.
Travel : This position requires no regular travel. Travel will be on an on-demand basis as may be needed for training purposes.
