Job Description: The Bookkeeper/staff account primarily works with the company partners and main accountants to prepare and maintain financial records, including the logging, reconciliation, and maintenance of Paragon’s accounts receivable/payable. A secondary role of this position will be to assist Paragon’s administrative staff with the handling of company correspondence and file material.
Compensation: $60,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience, paid monthly

Responsibilities:
- Primary – Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant
- Create billing invoices including monthly, final, and deposition invoices.
- Execute analytical review of case activity lines for accuracy.
- Edit invoices to meet attorney client’s needs.
- Deposit and log client payments.
- Apply payments via ACH, check, and credit card payments to customer accounts in Clio and Quickbooks Online
- Perform customer account reconciliations and prepare account statements when requested.
- Categorize account activity in Quickbooks Online.
- Secondary – Administrative assistant
- Log and save file material received from clients.
- Phone and email correspondence with clients and vendors as necessary.
- Miscellaneous office tasks to assist the Paragon team with their daily dues.

Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar discipline
- 3 years experience performing bookkeeping
- Strong reading comprehension and written and verbal communication with command of the English language
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in the legal or legal services industry
- Prior experience using Clio customer relationship management software
