Sr. Solutions Engineer - SCCM: ITIO support for deploying, packaging and administering software used by all WMATA employees. This includes software for managing more than 10,0000 endpoint devices. Daily operations of the product as well as upgrades are expected to be performed by the contractor.
Provide hands-on professional experience to the Data Center and Infrastructure Department in designing highly available solutions in the areas of endpoint management, infrastructure, database, storage and systems and backup layers.
Upgrade of SCCM 2012 environment to SCCM 2016
Design and implement best practices for migration and upgrade types of projects.
Design and implement test and quality assurance plans and lead remedy efforts.
Assist project leads in executing infrastructure enhancements projects, such as SCCM upgrade, and Office 365 migration, IT Asset Management System Implementation and migration to a new platform (Hands-on experience with Administering Microsoft SQL server 2008 R2, 2012 R2 and 2014, SQL Always-On and SQL clustering).
Respond to Tickets and questions from clients and analyze what-if scenarios
Collaborate with IT infrastructure specialists to leverage infrastructure capabilities and expertise in optimizing designs and applications; Hands-on experience with Enterprise Mobile Device Management solutions (MaaS360, Mobile Iron, Air Watch etc.)
