General Role Overview:
Under the direction of the Inventory Manager, the Sr. Planner, Inventory Planning & Analysis will be in charge of overall Inventory Planning & Analysis, cycle count, new parts administration, initial parts recommendation list for new service centers and collision centers. The planner uses various tracking reports and computer systems to monitor and improve all parts and accessories supply to ensure stock is available at the parts distribution center and service center. The position is also responsible for detecting supply problems and resolving system issues, staying current with weekly/monthly work schedule, and maintaining the integrity of the parts database. The Sr. Planner is expected to work with minimal supervision, provide supervisory support as required, and other duties as assigned.
Nature of Work
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop annual and long-term objectives and strategies of parts inventory management, which maximize parts sales and service penetration and customer loyalty, monitor subsequent performance against plan, and take remedial action.
- Perform maintenance to product line code files, key sales product code files and tables. Assign proper codes to each part number in relation to inventory and demand categories.
- Perform monthly maintenance of database and parts files, such as, part re-class, P.O. file maintenance, and analyst code maintenance.
- Track inventory accuracy through Annual Inventory and Cycle Count Program to meet or exceed all inventory and location accuracy metrics.
- Execute the defined cycle-count program for the PDC, VPC and Service Center, defining root cause for errors and providing feedback to the continuous improvement teams. Work with continuous improvement teams to reduce and eliminate obsolescence costs.
- Interface with Regions, Service Centers and Customers to research and respond to their requests in relation to parts supply.
- Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Recommend solutions for system problems, for both Fisker system and any 3rd party system related to inventory.
- Perform special analysis, such as, all-time buy recommendations, initial orders, and class C return analysis.
- Developing action plans with Parts Marketing on Price reduction and possible promotions.
- Consult with Parts Technical for potential parts modification or consolidation. Provide assistance to the other technical staff as needed. Render the necessary support to corporate finance and PDC management
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as delegated by management. Support any ad-hoc requests for analysis, information, or additional tasks. Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
- Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of short/long term system enhancements.
- Ensure all system adjustments are validated before adjustments are made. Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels. Work with IT to design and implement systems enhancements.
- Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and issues to upper management.
- Analyze and make recommendations to control parts returns.
- Ensure all corporate required special notices/stock inspections are followed through
- Work with Parts Marketing to identify sales opportunities for parts and accessories.
Job Specification:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Professional-level knowledge and experience of principles and practices involved in automotive service parts inventory management, demand forecasting methods, inventory management systems and ERP.
- An analytical mind with strong math skills to accurately track parts inventory and create reports and devise ways to optimize inventory procedures with expert level database management capability.
- Work independently and under pressure of deadlines, handle multiple priorities and pay close attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to allow effective interaction with all levels of the organization.
- 10+ years of experience working in a fast-paced Automotive OEM environment with emphasis on Parts Inventory Management and Demand Forecasting.
- Bachelor's degree preferred. Master's degree a plus.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Supply chain management or logistics academic degree desirable. Experience as inventory control analyst forecasting and ordering products for distribution.
- Computer literate, capable of creating spreadsheets using Microsoft products. QMF skills helpful. Creative problem-solving abilities and good math skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledges, Skills, Abilities, Competencies
- Mastery of MS Excel and strong knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, Teams, Jira, Confluence, Power BI and SAP.
- Must have ability to handle confidential matters and information, strong business acumen.
- Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment and be able to meet tight deadlines.
Additional Requirements (if any):
- Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required.

Expected Salary Range: $63,000 - $74,000
Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
