Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and IP addressing.
- Monitor network performance, analyze network traffic patterns, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and uptime.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity of operations.
- Lead and mentor junior Network Administrators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to support the implementation of new technologies, projects, and initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in network administration to recommend and implement best practices and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level networks.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and VPNs.
- Experience with network security technologies and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and mentor team members effectively.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus.
