System/Network Administrator

REI is seeking a System/Network Administrator to join our IT/S – Business Systems team, working out of our Lawrenceville. The primary focus of the System/Network Administrator is to support the REI network and servers. The ideal candidate will have extensive Active Directory and Networking (wired and wireless) experience required. Cyber-security and Microsoft Server in a virtualized environment experience is highly preferred.

The System/Network Administrator will:

• Coordinate with Developers & Application owners on installing, upgrading, testing, and migrating Windows servers both on-prem and cloud.
• Administer Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, and DNS.
• Configure and patch network switches and wireless system.
• Troubleshoot wired and wireless network communication issues.
• Install, configure, and patch VMware servers.
• Monitor server and network logs for health and security.
• As part of the Ricoh Global Family, will support and implement security hardening initiative per the regional Ricoh Americas Security Standards.
• Administer security patching on Windows servers.
• Maintain backup system and monitor backup jobs.
• Research, recommend, and evaluate solutions to improve system integrity and performance.
• Learn and apply emerging technologies and best practices to IT infrastructure.
• Provide help desk support when and where applicable.
• Create and maintain system configuration documentation.
• Work and communicate with IT staff, end users, and management on various initiatives.
• Correspond with vendors and suppliers for problem resolution, technical support, quotations, etc.
• Periodically work weekends and occasionally holidays.

Experience

Required

• Minimum 5 years of systems and/or network administration experience
• Solid understanding of information security and Microsoft Windows server technologies
• Strong analytical problem solving and technical documentation skills
• Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, switch technology, & wireless
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills

Preferred

• BS in Computer Information Systems

Education

Required

• Bachelors or better in Computer Science or related field
