- This position exists within the Connected Services Business Unit of Clarios and will report to the VPGM of Connected Services.
- The Sr Manager, Technology & Architecture will be a key member of the Connected Services leadership team, reporting to the VPGM of Connected Services. In this position, you'll have a unique opportunity to join a newly created business unit and shape solutions for the fast-evolving low voltage space.
- The ideal candidate for the Connected Services Head of Technology & Architecture role embodies Clarios' behaviors and is driven to help create industry defining experiences for our customers. Bringing a growth mindset, this position is responsible for designing IoT (Internet of Things) solutions for the Connected Service business unit. This leader will understand the product strategy / roadmap and translates those needs into end-to-end solutions (people, process, and technology). A deep technical understanding of what it takes to connect, collect, and manage data across many connected devices is critical to this position. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Global Customer & Technology teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of all Connected Services product initiatives globally.
- This position requires someone who is a self-starter, corporate explorer, fast learner, and customer champion. A progressive track record with proven ability to lead / manage change, collaborate effectively across functions, communicate with impact, and excel in an ambiguous / fast-paced environment is a must.
How you will do it
- Key member of Connected Services Agile Business Team owning technical and architectural decisions on How to Build solutions.
- Collaborate and drive the technical vision for IoT/AI Platform based.
- Leverage deep technology innovation, and design expertise to align with company objectives and timelines.
- Design and develop complex Internet of Things (IoT) systems and automotive sensors integrations, hardware decisions, data processing, harmonization, signal detection, alert propagation, and recommendation architecture and algorithm that can analyze multi-modalities data in real-time and further classify/detect specific data points based on pattern recognition.
- Implement strategies to reduce development and operational costs while maximizing return on investment (ROI) for our IoT initiatives. Identify and implement cost-effective solutions across hardware, software, and infrastructure.
- Champion agile methodologies to deliver high-quality IoT solutions with rapid deployment.
- Design and build for growth, ensuring our IoT infrastructure can flex with demand while maintaining consistent, reliable performance.
- Create easily understandable and sustainable systems, minimizing long-term maintenance costs and managing them affectively within the service levels.
- Advocate a culture of quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring high-performance and minimizing defects.
- Engage with multiple teams both inside and outside to work on the execution of the technical vision and develop a digital product.
- Designs, and develops cloud, edge computing systems with mobile and web end-user experiences by integrating various data sources.
- Help advance the research and science that will differentiate our product as a leader in the digital space.
- Drive architecture as a discipline within our group.
- Detail out and refine higher-level architecture decisions into a lower-level executional design.
- Leverage architecture design standards and tools as part of solution design and documentation.
What we look for
- 5-years experience in design and implementation experience with sensor data integration, edge computing, data architecture, product development, cloud computing, streaming data processing, and analytics architecture development in automotive.
- Hands-on expertise in enterprise technology streaming data processing and analytics applications architecture, design, development, and support. Azure is preferred.
- Proficiency with full stack development.
- Experience with modern data platforms and architecture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with onsite and offshore teams.
- Ability to work closely with customers and communicate in non-technical language.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a comparable degree (preferred)
