Job Description
- Primary responsibility for administration and management of current ERP System, related hardware, OS (HP-UX and legacy iSeries)
- This position will also serve as a primary resource for the migration to Infor's M3 ERP system
- Designing business systems to meet broad business improvement objectives
- Analyze current business processes and design ways to improve the process through new procedures with or without the use of Information Technology
- Generate specifications for computer programs that will be used in a system and convey the requirements for these programs to the programming area
- Generate computer programs as needed, consistent with assigned priorities
- Provide user training on the use of the business systems both internally generated and purchased application systems
- Provide system capabilities and project-related presentations to management and user groups
- Provide systems documentation for the IT department and all other departments
- Provide problem resolution for system problems when they occur, working with the IT help desk
- Maintain current technology understanding for commonly used application software (i.e., SQL, Oracle, Java, HTML, PHP)
- Primary support for bar code printing, ERP forms printing systems, and related data streams and interfaces
- 4-year degree in a Business Systems or Computer Science related area
- Minimum 8 years in systems design/development, DBA, data warehousing, ERP administration, and programming
- Minimum 5 or more years in a manufacturing organization supporting on-line transactions systems, MFGPRO, or similar systems experience
- Minimum 5 or more years of experience administering HP-UX and/or IBM AS400 systems
- Should understand how integrated business systems work and be able to recall how these systems function in the company readily
- Have strong communication skills both orally and in writing
- Able to work with people at all levels in the organization and provide user training and assistance in a patient and supportive manner
- Should understand Information Technology and know how it can be applied to improve business processes
- Needs to set priorities relative to business importance and current business initiatives
- Needs to be a team-oriented person who works effectively with little direct supervision
- ERP Migration experience preferred
