Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the “jewel” of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Job Summary
Enhance assembly and machining manufacturing by assuring that the process tooling, documentation, and equipment is set up for optimum safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements. Provide technical support to analyze and develop manufacturing control systems. Interface with Work Group Advisors/Process Leaders, Work Groups, Quality, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, and Operations to ensure successful New Product Launch events and drive day-to-day improvements for current production. Develop LEAN initiatives including Red Zone to drive manufacturing efficiency improvements for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Implement, update, and monitor connected factory solutions to benefit production in real-time.
Job Responsibilities
- Technical and process owner for implementation of connected factory software (ex-Ignition) and/or reporting software (ex-Power Apps/Power BI and SharePoint)
- Collects customer and stakeholder input.
- Prioritizes pilots, implements solutions, plans future projects, and implements strategy.
- Partners with Adv Mfg. Dig Mfg. Tech Lead to set the vision for the connected factory
- Participates in / member of the Digital Manufacturing Center of Excellence (COE)
- Supports the creation of standards for new and existing equipment
- Implements connected factory/digital manufacturing transformation at the site level
- Leads/Implements connected factory solutions.
- Digital Cockpit: Machine and data connectivity, Data collection/Data lake, Live OEE tracking, Electronic defect mapping – SCADA view
- Andon (non-assembly)
- Digital work instructions
- Creates reports and digital dashboards
- Automates shop-floor performance tracking
- Creates focused reports to drive OEE, Scrap, FPY, etc. continuous improvements
- Analyzing data and present data through reports that aid in decision-making within operation/manufacturing processes
- Ability to convert raw data into interactive and easy to understand dashboard report out
- Design/define, and develop reports, databases, and technical aspects of the system
- Chart creation and data algorithms, parameters, models, queries, and scripts
- Familiar with data science, business intelligence, and data analytics
- Data integration, data warehousing, modeling, business intelligence, and business concepts
- Creating data dashboards, custom BI products, scripting languages, and programming
- Ability to convert data into stories
- Identifies benchmarks, pilots, and implements digital, IoT, and automated innovations within manufacturing to realize operational cost reductions.
- Supports and/or leads manufacturing digital innovations.
- Supports new CAP projects to ensure new equipment meets connected factory/digital specifications.
- Analyzing data and present data through reports that aid in decision-making within operation/manufacturing processes.

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Education Specifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering preferred
Experience Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Preferred
- Detail process planning, including work balancing, work standard development, operator and equipment utilization, and quality controls.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and their relationship to company policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Experience with formal problem-solving methodology.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Knowledge of programming and troubleshooting capabilities

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
