The Merchandise Manager is the champion for assortment development, pricing and promotional strategy, and marketing efforts for Herrschners business. This role is responsible for driving catalog and digital performance and for hitting financial targets.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Accountable for meeting overall sales and margin goals by:
- Building and executing a consistent assortment strategy
- Defining a pricing and promotion strategy
- Ensuring products are marketed effectively
- Merchandise catalog pages and digital channels:
- Communicate the vision and uniqueness of product offerings
- Ensure all selling channels are accurate
- Responsible to work with the product development team:
- Create unique products
- Maximizing value while managing to the appropriate product cost
- All Bill of Materials are complete and correct
- Manage supplier relationships for the Company:
- Maximize Herrschners opportunity for exclusives/first to market
- Maintain lowest possible pricing
- Ensure win-win outcome for both parties
- Oversee merchandise coordinator for the category.
- Partner with Inventory Planning to ensure inventory allocation meets forecast sales to support all channels.
- Manage product through the end of life, maximizing sell through and margin.
- Communicate merchandising strategies to other departments and groups.
- Support digital and marketplace promotions as requested.
- Build effective weekly email campaigns
- Analyze marketplace sales and provide strategies that will maximize revenue
- Develop and populate marketplace store fronts and landing pages
- Assign skus to marketplace sponsored product campaigns
- Conduct periodic competitive audits:
- Ensure the quality, style, and integrity of our products are better than others in our market space
- Make sure pricing strategy is competitive in the appropriate channels

- Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work in a team environment and across all levels of management
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Four-year college degree and 5-7 years relevant experience
- Ability to manage schedules to meet agreed upon deadlines
