Summary Description:
Billerud North America (BNA) is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Senior (Sr) Director of Group Finance who will have a significant impact on the overall BNA Business and Finance organization. The Sr Director of Group Finance will oversee the Group Finance functions that service Corporate Accounting and Reporting, and Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis. This position will participate on the BNA Finance leadership team, and partner with all senior leaders to ensure priorities are aligned with Company strategies and financial controls. The Sr Director of Group Finance will also play a critical leadership role to continue to develop the BNA Finance Organization to become true business partners. The Sr Director of Group Finance must be able to build strong partnerships across the entire BNA Finance team including Business Finance, Commercial Finance, Shared Services and Treasury.
Key Accountabilities:
· Lead the Group Finance team (Corp Accounting & Reporting, FP&A) for BNA and participate on the Finance leadership team
· Lead BNA planning process, forecast and management reporting. Responsible for the short-term forecasts, annual plans, and medium/long term plans.
· Lead and develop management reporting and presentations prepared monthly, quarterly, and year end of financial results. Includes developing key messages that are shared with BNA Senior Leadership and Global Management Team.
· Work closely with our HQ office in Solna, Sweden as part of a Global Finance Team.
· Ensure timely, accurate financial close working with mill and Corporate Accounting teams, oversee consolidation of financial results, and work in partnership with internal and external auditors.
· Ensure that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization; work to align and standardize processes and procedures across locations.
· Lead the establishment of best practices, work process improvements and efficiencies to enable breakthrough results holistically across the Group Finance team.
· Become a true Business Partner, build an understanding of business challenges, become a subject matter expert to provide insight, drive EBITDA improvement initiatives, and ensure stewardship and governance for the business.
· Manage people growth and development within the department, with an eye on building bench strength for the organization. Lead succession planning, workforce planning, people development, and performance management for area of responsibility and participate in these activities across the department as advisor

Minimum Required Experience and Education:

· Excellent communication skills (speaking, writing, and presentation)
· Leadership & managerial competencies
· Broad accounting background and excellent Financial Analysis skills.
· Ability to lead a large finance team
· Ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical skills, and strategic mindset
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft suite, COGNOs, and the ability to navigate ERP systems (preferably SAP)
Travel: up to ~25%
Preferred Skills:
· 15 years of experience in a manufacturing industry, with progressive leadership experience
· Experience in a matrix organization
· International finance experience
Required Experience

· 8 years of experience in a manufacturing industry, with progressive leadership experience.
· BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred
