It is the primary responsibility of the Special Events Coordinator to assist in planning and executing casino, food and beverage, entertainment, and property wide events. The Special Events Coordinator will assist in implementing event themes throughout each event, coordinating event staff, and accomplishing tasks to carry out a successful event. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
- Executes all events with the highest regard to guest service.
- Assists with brainstorming process to develop event themes and names.
- Assists in the budget planning process and responsible for maintaining and distributing event-related expenses.
- Conducts pre-production, production, and post-production coordination for all events, under the direction of the Specials Events Leadership
- Maintains Special Events information for all events, promotions, and concerts, fights, and sporting events
- Assists other departments with events and special projects as needed.
- Assists in maintaining department files including financial records, vendor proposals, correspondence, and office reports and other confidential records for the department.
- Conducts pre- and post-event meetings with all departments involved in each event.
- Manages creation, revisions, and distribution of event collateral to be distributed to guests for each event.
- Manages Special Events Representatives for all event and general office assistance.
- Attends every event and ensures that all previously planned items are executed.
- Creates memos for each event, coordinating various tasks between departments enterprise and property wide.
- Manages relationships with vendors and entertainment companies.
- Submits purchase requisitions and checks requisitions to pay for goods and services.
- Maintains files and paperwork for all events.
- Greet and welcomes guests, establish rapport, and provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving disputes, and adhering to guest requests.
- Maintains a professional, friendly, and courteous atmosphere that provides guests with an exceptional experience and ensures efficient operations.
- Works with Catering department to outline food and beverage needs for each event.
- Protects the confidentiality of all company files, data, and documents.
- Performs all other job-related duties as requested.
Required:
- Minimum of at least 21 years of age.
- At least 2 years casino or special event industry experience or related field.
