Sourcing Coordinator

Position Summary / Objective:

It is the primary responsibility of the Sourcing Coordinator to identify savings, respond to quote requests, maintain system data, and find the best approved source to meet the customer’s requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work with new and existing suppliers to obtain product or service information such as cost and availability.
• Maintain costing files from suppliers and maintain accurate system data.
• Work with the supply chain department and the sales organization to identify savings opportunities and any specific costing requirements.
• Identify and develop new sources for material.
• Resolve issues regarding non-conforming products received from vendors as requested.
• Maintain costing files from suppliers and maintain accurate system data.
• Request new items and maintain them in the ERP as appropriate.

Required Skills / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in Sourcing, Planning, or Purchasing.
• Aerospace Chemicals, Hardware & MRO Product Purchasing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with an established ERP strongly preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
