Job Description
Purpose:
Industrial service and commercial construction company is seeking a Project Coordinator.
The Project Coordinator will provide leadership for small project field construction crews. The candidate must be highly motivated, energetic, and capable of interfacing with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and TOS team members effectively and professionally.
Major Responsibilities:
· Must be able to understand, follow, and train others on all SAFETY policies and procedures.
· Communicate effectively with supervision, customers, and field foremen.
· Strong organizational skills and excellent oral/written skills.
· Maintain high level of professionalism and customer service.
· Organize Project Work Plans for Foremen including scope of work, material, and equipment requirements.
· Schedule shop & field labor, rental equipment, and materials for small projects.
· Coordinate scope of work, COI, and schedules with subcontractors.
· Prepare and manage permit applications, RFI’s, submittals, and other project documents.
· Assist with estimating, material take-off, and pricing for proposals.
· Ability to review drawings and specifications.
Knowledge, skills, and qualifications:
· 3-5 yrs of experience in related field
· Knowledge of industrial mechanical equipment and piping systems.
· Knowledge of construction practices for steel fabrication & erection.
· Ability to read and understand drawings and prints and use AutoCAD.
· Computer skills – strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
