Manufacturing Project Engineer

STS Technical Services is hiring a Manufacturing Project Engineer for a position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in various areas within a manufacturing environment. Join our client, Global Power Components, a growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to Operations and Facilities projects as required.
• Split time between Engineering, Facilities, and Operations department projects.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure on-time project delivery.
• Lead and participate in numerous concurrent projects across the organization.
• Support day-to-day production and technical issues related to the production of engineered-to-order (ETO) products.
• Create standard operating procedures (SOP) capturing current production processes while implementing safety, ergonomic, and production rate improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to become intimately familiar with manufacturing processes.
• Interest in working primarily in a fast-paced, production environment.
• Capability to work on multiple projects with changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team with other Engineers, Safety, Quality Control, Purchasing, etc.
• Interest in projects across all areas of manufacturing and its environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or a related field of study is preferred.
