Job Description
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for producing engaging, compelling written and visual content for marketing agency clients of varying industries. The selected individual should be a creative self-starter with a passion for excellence and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
· Develop marketing strategies for clients across different industries.
· Create, manage and post regular content and messaging across client’s Social Media channels.
· Schedule ads, posts, emails and other marketing initiatives in advance according to a master schedule.
· Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies.
· Research client’s competitors to stay current with similar products or services on the market.
· Stay up to date with Social Media trends and current best practices.
· Track and report Social Media analytics as required.
· Demonstrate excellent judgment in determining content for ads and posts.
· Communicate by phone, in person, via email and in writing with clients. Occasionally attend meetings as part of the Marketing team with clients to discuss their Social Media needs and requests.
· Work with minimal supervision as a member of the creative team in a fast-paced Marketing environment.
· Communicate and collaborate with graphic designers and video editors who assist in generating Social Media content.
· Work closely with project managers to ensure that each clients needs are met on time and within budget.
Writing/Editing:
· Proficient in writing copy for Social Media ads & posts, emails and video scripts.
· Proofreads and edits copy with a strong sense of what makes content compelling.
Graphic Design
· Experience in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and/or Canva preferred but not necessary
· Knowledge of current design trends in marketing collateral
Photo/Video:
· Assists with video and photo shoots as needed
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or 3-4 years of relevant work.
· Experience in marketing and communications preferred.
· Experience across Social Media channels and their ad platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok and Google.
· Good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines while coordinating multiple projects and tasks.
· Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a fast-paced environment
