Social Media Coordinator

The Scheffer Group manages and operates several highly-rated restaurants in Asheville, NC, including Vinnie’s Neighborhood Italian, Jettie Rae’s Oyster House, and Gan Shan West. We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Social Media Coordinator to join our team to assist in the areas of Social Media content creation, monitoring, and reporting, as well as email growth, website management, and general promotion of all brands.

The Social Media Coordinator should feel comfortable following conversations on the internet while interacting with the public at the same time. This position works directly with the Brand Manager to ensure all concepts within The Scheffer Group have a consistent and positive online presence. The ideal candidate will identify as a highly-creative person with a passion for photography, digital copywriting, and visual storytelling.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Social Media platforms, specifically Facebook and Instagram
• Excellent photography, videography, and editing skills
• Creativity and an eye for design and visual storytelling
• Strong copywriting skills; ability to shift tone and voice with ease
• Capacity to take direction and pivot as needed
• Graphic design and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is a plus
• Knowledge of the food and beverage industry is a plus
• Must have access to and proficiency in using your own smartphone and laptop for content creation and editing
• Ability to work evenings on occasion

Responsibilities:

• Capture and create visually stunning and narrative-rich content for use on Social Media platforms and general promotion
• Manage and update Social Media profiles for multiple accounts, ensuring consistency and relevance
• Write fun and informational stories, posts, and features for Social Media
• Respond to Social Media comments, messages, and feedback for all concepts
• Track and report social marketing efforts and adjust strategies as necessary
• Foster engagement within online communities and other businesses online
• Stay updated on industry trends, anticipating changes in the Social Media landscape
• Work with other staff members to further promote each brand
• Research food and beverage offerings to create compelling posts and internal guides
• Assist with company websites as needed
• Assist with email growth and marketing as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
