New Hope Center is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and professional person to join our team. You will work with intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals in various work and training settings to meet each person's goals .
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the workshop including but not limited to:
- Train production workers as needed in the skills required at particular workstations
- Supervise and maintain safety, cleanliness, and orderliness on the production floor.
- Record attendance and accurately submit payroll counts/numbers
- Case management
- Utilize downtime to work on vocational skills or other relevant areas of instruction.
- Train production workers in the habits and attitudes of work in general.
- Communicate pertinent information and relevant training results to the Day Services Team, and Supported Employment/Placement staff for evaluations/staffings, etc.
- Create and implement personalized plans to help individuals achieve their goals
- Teach and reinforce social skills, communication skills, and problem-solving techniques
- Provide mentoring and guidance to clients, helping them navigate challenges and achieve success.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Monitor progress and document observations and outcomes
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and self-confidence
- Some personal cares assistance may be needed
- Create a fun and engaging atmosphere
