Overnight Youth Development Specialist

This is a full-time, 3rd shift (11 pm-7 am) Mon-Fri. Weekend shifts are required. (Weekend Shifts are 12 hour shifts)

Minimal Qualifications: A minimum of one year of experience with young people of a similar age to the client population (generally ages 14-17). A high school diploma or GED/HSED is required. The overnight Youth Development Specialist will meet all Revive employee requirements including reference, criminal background, and acceptable driver’s license checks. A valid driver's license is preferred.

Revive Youth & Family Services is currently seeking individuals to fulfill the role of Overnight Youth Development Specialist (YDS) in our youth group homes. As an Overnight YDS at Revive Youth & Family Services, you will have opportunities to positively impact the lives of the youth in our care, while at the same time further developing and enhancing your skills as a Human Service professional. Services provided promote the Revive mission and practice philosophy for providing responses to the youth in a way that utilizes a Trauma-Informed Care approach.

Under the direct supervision of the Overnight Supervisor, the Overnight YDS staff will have the responsibility of supervising and regularly monitoring the youth in care to ensure they are present, safe, and their needs are met during their sleeping hours. The Overnight YDS will be expected to remain alert at all times, which includes maintaining awareness of the location and activities of the youth and being readily available to youth as needed. The Overnight YDS is also responsible for being aware of their surroundings and reporting any unusual activity within the home and outside of the home to the Overnight Supervisor.

The Overnight YDS shall demonstrate the ability to multitask and find creative ways to handle the various needs that arise during the overnight shift, including maintaining the environment and the cleanliness of the home and other areas of the group home's premises. The Overnight YDS position requires that the individual be able to work a flexible schedule that is subject to change to meet the program’s evolving needs at any time and may include weekends and/or holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
