Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shipping and Receiving Lead to oversee the Shipping and Receiving operations at EDDY Pump. The ideal candidate will coordinate the movement of goods, ensure accuracy, and maintain efficient processes within the Shipping and Receiving department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Manage and lead a team of Shipping and Receiving personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and assist in inventory control to prevent shortages or overages.
- Shipping Coordination: Coordinate outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers and distributors.
- Receiving Operations: Oversee the receiving process, inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and efficiently allocate received materials to the appropriate departments.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure products meet quality standards before shipping to customers.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices within the Shipping and Receiving department to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of Shipping and Receiving equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and packaging machinery.
- Documentation: Manage Shipping and Receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs documentation for international shipments.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal departments, carriers, and suppliers to facilitate the smooth flow of materials and products.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements within the Shipping and Receiving department.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Shipping and Receiving, with at least three years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping documentation.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
