Overview:
Lilac Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our facility, with a particular focus on Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) duties, intake appointments, and CARF-related duties. This position requires someone with excellent organizational skills, a strong commitment to client care, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with Intake Appointments:
Assist with intake appointments, including collecting basic information, discussing service options, and scheduling follow-up assessments
Assist with Utilization Reviews
Call insurance companies and provide necessary information and documentation to obtain authorization for services related to IOP
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Support:
Be a co-facilitator for the IOP group
Collaborate with the licensed therapist to ensure smooth program delivery
Communicating and connecting with clients
Collecting and recording data on patient behavior and progress
Collaborating, communicating and assisting with activities of clients and parents
Assisting in the implementation of treatment plans
Assist with Monthly CARF Related Duties:
Monitor and coordinate tasks as outlined in yearly duties calendar
Assist the safety officer in conducting safety drills, inspections, and other safety-related duties
Assist with other misc. CARF related requirements on as-needed basis
Assist in Front Reception Duties:
Greeting patients when they arrive
Assisting patients with the admissions paperwork
Entering patient information into the database
Fielding Slack messages from providers
Scheduling appointments, consultations and other services
Manage phone calls, emails, chats, and client portal messages to provide timely and efficient responses
Utilize the Zen Desk ticketing system to handle patient requests and track interactions
Collect copayments at time of service and follow up on past balances due
Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies
Maintain the reception and common areas in the office
Work Hours:
Monday through Thursday: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Commuting:
This position will require occasional commuting to the different Lilac Center locations. Travel reimbursement is available.
Pay Rate:
$20 to $22.50 per hour

Requirements:Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related degree.
Previous experience in a Mental Health or healthcare setting is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in using a computer, scanner, copier etc..
