Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. In this role, you will ensure the efficient movement of product, inbound overseas containers, and bulk packages. You will help to manage shipments, coordinate deliveries, and use various material handling equipment (MHE) to facilitate warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments of product, inbound overseas containers, packaging supplies and all other inbound goods.
• Inspect received goods for accuracy, quality, and damage, and document any discrepancies.
• Prepare shipments for outbound delivery, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging.
• Inspect and verify the correctness and accuracy of outgoing shipments to ensure they match customer orders and meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners by creating BOLs (Bills of Ladings) to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.
• Safely operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move, load, and unload materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while operating MHE and handling shipments.
• Assist in organizing warehouse space to optimize storage and accessibility.
• Assist in inventory counting and cycle counting activities as needed.
• As a back-up, will operate cutting machine to cut vinyl products to specification or order.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of issues.
• Utilize shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager.)
• Comply with regulations and procedures to align with quality and safety standards.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment and optimize warehouse utilization.General housekeeping and 5S responsibilities include, but are not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and organizing storage and work area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in a Shipping and Receiving, or warehouse role
• Experience completing quality checks and/or role with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of LTL (Less Than Truckload) shipping procedures and documentation.
• Forklift experience/certification, or willingness to become certified.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in using warehouse management software or inventory systems.
• Strong communication, time management and prioritization skills Familiarity with handling flooring materials, vinyl rolls, or similar products is a plus.
