Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments
- Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and ensure that all items are accounted for
- Unload trucks and move materials to appropriate storage areas
- Sort, label, and store items in the warehouse
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working on your feet for 8 hours per day
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
