POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities included unloading and receiving materials, material handling, disposition of incoming goods, and daily shipping using UPS Worldship, Fedex, and occasional freight applications. Applicant must be capable of using computer applications including MRP software (training included), email, Microsoft Word and Excel. Duties include working with inventory control system, document control system, Quality management system. Forklift operation experience is desirable. Forklift operation is required (training included).
Shipper/Receiver will send, accept, and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials and finished goods stock to and from our vendors and customers. Additionally, the shipper/receiver will coordinate the internal flow of parts, supplies, materials to and from our quality and manufacturing departments. This position will include but not limited to standing, lifting, packing, counting, verification, and working with company computer database to coordinate all transactions preformed.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows existing policies, practices and procedures.- Packages, crates, bundles, prepares product for shipment.
- Receives goods based on proper paperwork.
- Utilizes judgment in rejecting receipt of potentially damaged good.
- Takes ownership when counting inventory for finished goods and sub-assemblies. Utilizes ERP as system of record.
- Administers issue/issue return of kits.
- Run daily backlog report from ERP system.
- Coordinate and manage delivery driver and delivery schedule
- Coordinate point of use staging
- Procurement of all items as required
- Maintain a clean work area – daily shift cleaning.
- May be required to be flexible with work schedule.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High School diploma or general education degree- 2+ years of shipping or receiving experience
