Job Description
Set-up Machinist:
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and configure CNC machines for production runs, including selecting appropriate tools and fixtures
* Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure that machines are set up
according to specifications
* Perform regular maintenance checks and ensure that all machines are in good working condition
* Monitor machines during production runs to ensure that they are running properly and make
necessary adjustments as required
* Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet quality control standards and make necessary
adjustments to machines and tools as required
* Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that new products and
processes are implemented effectively
* Train and mentor junior machinists as required
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent, with relevant technical training or certification
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a set-up machinist in a manufacturing environment
* Familiarity with a variety of machines and tools, including but not limited to CNC mills and
lathes
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong problem-solving skills
