Work for our Northern New Jersey Client that is a manufacturer for the medical device industry
Summary - Swiss Machinist Setup/Operator
Job Duties:
-Ability to program, set up and operate multi-axis Swiss CNC lathes
-Ability to read blueprints, good math skills, and use of metrology
-Experience with Star, Citizen, Tsugami, Nexturn, Tornos or any type of Swiss CNC lathe or machining center
-Experience with automatic bar feeders (Iemca, etc.)
-Experience with Partmaker, Esprit, or Mastercam programming software
-Experience with solid models, Solidworks or Autocad
-Knowledge of all types of Swiss tooling/collets, guide bushings, insert tooling, boring bars, etc.
-Knowledge of metrology, inspection methods, and sampling plans for small, intricate Swiss parts
Details:
-Maintain production on accordance with the print and customer quality requirement (on tolerance).
-Measuring critical dimensions on site (around the machine).
-Inspect 5 pieces every 5 minutes to quality control personal for hourly verification.
-Contact supervisor when parts are out of tolerance to find solution.
-Supervise the machine while it is running:
-Watch bar closely to avoid damaging the tools.
-Watch operator"s messages closely.
-Keep daily maintenance Up-to-date, (cleaning chips, cutting oil level, lube oil…)
-change tools when needed.
-Clock IN/OUT
-Check IN/OUT into QIMS before operating the machine and before ending
-Sign Work Order paper upon completion
-Move parts to next operation, which is normally degreasing.
-Report daily production (good and bad parts)

-Experience in an ISO medical manufacturing job shop environment
