We are looking for an experienced, driven and passionate Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. The scope of the position is as follows:
The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the financial activities of eight Tuscan Brands business units as described under essential duties and responsibilities section below.
Must serve as an exemplary figure to staff and represent the company within the framework of its core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Daily monitoring of bank accounts and record cash entries as necessary.
· Review and adjust as necessary the daily sales uploads from the point of sales system.
· Enter invoices in the accounting system as needed.
· Pay vendors on-line and record payment in the accounting system.
· Prepare weekly financial reports
· Prepare weekly sales reports
· Accounts Receivable
· Review weekly inventory reports for reasonableness.
· Reconcile bank accounts monthly and assist in the monthly close process.
Required Skills | SUCCESS FACTORS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational, attention to detail and time management skills
Proficient in general financial accounting
Solid understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles and ethics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Experience with the Restaurant 365 accounting system preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
2 to 4 years or more of related experience required
Experience working in a hospitality environment preferred
Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both in writing and verbally, with management, vendors and customers
Able to work as a team player
Open to development of skills and knowledge
Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
