Position Title:Senior Staff Accountant (Remote)
Reports to: Assistant Controller
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary: $85,000-$95,000
- Starting pay varies based on location and experience, in compliance with specific state wage regulations. Competitive rates tailored to your geography and expertise.
This position joins a dynamic Corporate Finance team supporting a fast-growing Revenue Cycle Management business. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of Public or Corporate Accounting experience.
The ideal candidate will also be a highly motivated, career driven individual who manages tight deadlines, strives to improve processes and acts with a sense of urgency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare complex month-end close entries including payroll, debt interest, and expense allocation.
- Collaborate with the Payroll department to resolve any payroll tax issues.
- Work closely with division presidents to track and report customer attrition to key stakeholders.
- Compile and analyze financial information for monthly board decks and other reporting requirements.
- Manage corporate budgets for each department and provide quarterly reports to department leaders.
- Develop, analyze, and track key financial metrics at both Corporate and Service Group levels.
- Formulate monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and enter journal entries with comprehensive synopses.
- Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other accounting functions as assigned by the Vice President of Finance and Accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA certification or currently studying for the exam.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment, with public accounting experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to small groups.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, with a high aptitude for numbers and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables).
- Knowledge of NetSuite is preferred but not required.
