WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Community Crossroads has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Accountant to join our Fiscal Department. Responsibilities include performing month end close journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and review of financial reports. A strong understanding of revenue recognition is needed to ensure a timely month end close. Assist with the independent annual audit. Maintain financial records and reports for more than one entity, respond to information requests and assist the Chief Financial Officer as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience and a working knowledge of GAAP.
- Some public accounting experience as well as not-for-profit accounting is a definite plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, strong numeracy, and analytical skills, as well as sharp problem-solving and time management skills, are necessary.
- A highly organized and detail-oriented individual would succeed in this position.
