Capital Markets Gateway (CMG) is a FinTech start-up that is transforming the equity capital markets (ECM). The capital raising process is riddled with inefficiencies and operational risk. CMG is creating a digital marketplace that connects investors and underwriters via a neutral platform that delivers integrated ECM data and analytics. CMG's platform streamlines workflows and delivers information and analytics in real-time providing users with long-desired speed to market and analysis vital to decision making.

 

The CMG Enterprise Team is responsible for onboarding our clients. Sitting between product, engineering, sales, and customer success, the Enterprise Team must be multifaceted to meet the needs of every relationship. 

 

A critical thinker who enjoys not just the implementation of solutions, but also understanding the problem, working with others to find the best outcome, and formulating the path forward. You are an engineer who enjoys collaborating, pairing, and sharing knowledge across domains. You have an itch to understand the technical details of application functionality, while also gravitating toward business application and customer interaction.

CMG's clients are some of the largest financial institutions in the world. Your role will be to help connect and onboard these clients onto CMG's platform by working directly with engineering and business stakeholders, both internally and externally. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with the client's development teams to educate, guide, diagnose, and troubleshoot the integration of CMG's application into their existing infrastructure.

You have

• A background in software development.
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer building SaaS web applications or in an academic role teaching advanced software engineering
• Knowledge and desire to learn CMG's architecture and best practices (e.g.  Eventual Consistency, REST APIs, Object Versioning, Error Handling, Access Control, Encryption)


• Experience working with customers to integrate systems.
• Implemented efficient and secure integrations which process data to and from multiple systems
• Experience and comfort engaging with customers and stakeholders
• The ability to explain domains as it is represented through the application
• Maintained and expanded knowledge of integration technology


• Proven ability to problem solve, diagnose issues and support development efforts.
• Created onboarding materials, including integration diagrams 
• Conducted training sessions/API demos
• Create a series of API playbooks (e.g., in postman) to demo to customers
• Create API playbooks based on specific customer requests
• Monitored usage
• Utilize existing DataDog dashboards and logs
• Create new DataDog dashboards and alerts to aid in determining how deep the customer has gotten in their integration
• Diagnosed customer reported issues
• Implementation experience
• Partner with customer success on the technical side of account setup
• Facilitate upload processes of customer data (like CRM)
• Oversee end-to-end customer integrations

The estimated salary range for this role is US$145,000 - US$180,000.  The successful candidate's salary will be determined by non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.  Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our benefits program including health, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off and our equity plan.
