Position Objective: Provide services as a Facilities Management Assistant in support of the overall functions of the Office of the Director (OD) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Under this task order, the contractor will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the Office of Research Facilities, RML.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Consolidate AutoCad and Revit drawings for each building on campus with the following: Architectural, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Controls, Site Utilities, Structural, Civil, Communication, Code Summaries, etc. 1
Assist NIH personnel with creating Cad standards, file structures, standard plot files and creating block and family libraries. 2
Work with staff on tracking requests for new space or change in space assignment using a software program.
Produce reports regarding space occupancy and space utilization.
Prepare, maintain and update databases, spreadsheets and status reports to indicate space use types and square footage.
Assist with surveying space areas and records location and use of all phone and LAN outlets.
Receive and coordinate work orders for facility repairs.
Interface with building maintenance personnel to correct wide range of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and facility problems. 3
Work with staff to determine location, square footage and assigned use of space.
Work with laboratory groups and managers with equipment surveys prior to move.
Work with laboratory groups, architects and move management teams to ensure that the needs of the scientists are met and that the move is performed in an orderly manner.
Work products related to the consolidation of AutoCad and Revit drawings for each building on campus with the following: Architectural, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Controls, Site Utilities, Structural, Civil, Communication, Code Summaries, Etc. - Ad- Hoc
Basic Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
Proficiency with REVIT and AutoCad.
Ability to plan executive office relocation and space acquisition.
Oversight of building projects, renovations, or refurbishments experience required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.
Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
