Overview:
We are looking to hire an experienced Process Engineer to play a key role in a dynamic, growing technology company. This position will work with, and in some instances lead multi-disciplinary internal and external teams to develop our renewable hydrogen technology through the entire project lifecycle, commencing with conceptual design and culminating in beneficial operation. This role will be based in our Houston office in the Energy Corridor.
Responsibilities:
- Execute conceptual studies for in-house decision making and/or projects.
- Benchmarking of our technology and evaluation of competing and/or new technologies.
- Execute techno economic evaluations through application of experience in process design and technology implementation.
- Work in close collaboration with other departments e.g. Technology Development and Business Development.
- Communicate with Business Development and client to understand scope of requirements and develop process designs for implementation.
- Development of engineering documentation for Technical Proposals, Process Design Package, Basic Engineering Design, Feasibility Studies and Front End Engineering Loading.
- Estimation of equipment, utilities and operating costs for potential applications and projects.
- Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, and best practices related to process design.
- Support projects during the engineering, procurement and construction phase.
- Develop operating procedures for client pilot and demonstration facilities.
- Support commissioning and start-up activities for new facilities.
- Troubleshoot and recommend cost effective solutions to problems arising during design, construction, startup and ongoing operation of facilities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education Required: Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering. Related graduate degrees are helpful, but not required.
- Experience Required: 5-10 years in a process-related industry providing process design and support, preferably in the industrial gas, LNG, Refinery, or Petrochemical space.
- Significant knowledge of Process Engineering and industrial plant design/unit operations, including PFD and P&ID development, Equipment Sizing, and Process Data Sheets
- Good understanding of engineering principles and fundamentals with the ability to adapt previous knowledge to new applications and technologies.
- Expertise in Process Engineering simulation software e.g. Aspen Plus, Hysys, Unisim, ProMax, VMG etc.
Other Relevant Information:
This position has some traveling requirements about 10-25%.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
